We would love to hear about your experience at Austells, if you have anything to say good or bad please don't hesitate to contact us.
What a find! We eat out quite a lot and can honestly say that this was one of the best meals we have ever had. We went on a Sunday when they serve a 'pot luck' menu - 3 courses, plus coffee and home made petit fours for just £27.50 a head - which is amazing value for the quaity of the food and cooking. The menu is creative and imaginative with very unusual flavour combinations, and we both tried things we would not normally order - and thoroughly enjoyed them. We couldn't fault anything. We loved the home made poppy seed bread too. Many of the ingredients seemd to fresh and local too. It was great being able to watch Brett, the Chef at work because the kitchen is open to the restuarant. The front of house staff were charming, friendly and attentive - a credit to the restuarant. Don't be put off by the location - in a parade of small shops, next to a Chinese Takeaway - inside its another world! If you go the St Austell area this restuarant is really worth a visit - do book though as it appears to be very popular and quickly filled up.

Between us, my wife and I have eaten in a lot of London's and the South East's restaurants. Austell's is on a par with the best, but at a fraction of the cost. The staff were efficient, friendly and unobtrusive, the decor was stylish without being over the top, the price was much less than it should be and the food was excellent, nicely presented and generous in portion size.

I am fortunate to eat out regularly and I think this is definitely the best restaurant in the area - if not Cornwall. The food is top notch and the chef is on hand with suggestions and advice. The service friendly and personal. Best of all is the value. 3 courses of fine dining for under £30. Wow!

We have now been to Austells several times for both lunch and evening meals, and the now expected quality food never fails to please. The staff are very friendly, and it’s always a pleasure to be at your restaurant.
Sorry, but while we are still in Cornwall you’ll probably have to put up with us for a bit more yet. B Helps.
Better than The Ivy, The New Angel and Rick Stein's - we highly recommend you! Graham & Molly Taylor
The nicest 'posh' food in a relaxing environment I've had. B Dwyer
Just right, as good as Rick Stein if not better!

Very special atmosphere and food, good luck with the Michelin star. Smoked monkfish was excellent.

Loved the lactose free pudding - it was the first dessert I've had for 10 years! S Bidz.
It was worth the journey from Bolton for that rice pudding croquette. Nice to be able to take family into a good restaurant.
